In order to make getting a quote as simple as possible, we base our quotations on a few assumptions. Please read through these below and confirm when required that the assumptions we have made are correct to the best of your knowledge and belief.

Are you eligible?

Please ensure you can answer YES to each of the following assumptions:

  • You or your partner are not a professional entertainer, footballer, boxer, athlete or gambler, a money lender or full time student;
  • The property is not used for business purposes other than occasional clerical work;
  • The home has not suffered from subsidence, heave or landslip damage;
  • No person to be insured has ever had any criminal convictions, police cautions or have any prosecutions pending;
  • No person to be insured has ever had home insurance refused, cancelled or offered with terms imposed;
  • The home is not to be used as a holiday home or weekend home.

Your quotation and policy will be based on you answering ‘Yes’ to all the above assumptions and any other questions that we may ask you in the process of obtaining a quotation and buying this policy. Before you continue to obtain a quotation, we advise that you read the following important information relating to our policies.

You must take reasonable care to provide complete and accurate answers to any questions we ask. Please read any assumptions in the application journey carefully and confirm if they apply to your circumstances. If any of the information you provide changes after you purchase your policy and/or during the period for which your policy is in force, please provide us with details.

  • We may cancel your policy and refuse to pay any claim; or
  • We may not pay any claim in full; or
